April Fool’s Day from computer gurus

April Fool’s Day has all the characteristics of a festival to celebrate the end of winter and the return of spring. For one day forms of behavior that are normally not allowed become acceptable, and yet the disorder is bounded within a strict timeframe. Traditionally, no pranks are supposed to be played after 12 o’clock noon of April the first. Herewith I have collected some stories and fake news from information technology. “xxx does not contain a single–bundle application or contains multiple products” archive error in Xcode 4 project

Question: I am trying to build an iPhone application for distribution on iTunes app store. I figured out how to build a Release version (ie. Archive) but “xxxxx does not contain a single–bundle application or contains multiple products. Please select another archive, or adjust your scheme to create a single–bundle application.” error pops up during Validation. Project environment: Xcode 4 project, Mac Book Pro, OS X 10.6.6. Project builds with no error and proper provisioning file is used. Two custom static libraries are built with no errors and linked perfectly. After Xcode 4 upgrade ‘No architectures to compile for’ building error occures

Question: I am also upgrading my iPhone projects to Xcode 4 but getting “No architectures to compile for (ARCHS=i386, VALID_ARCHS=armv6 armv7)” error message. I am running Xcode on OS X 10.6. Error occurs both in Debug and Release mode. I am full of new warnings. The same code builds without warnings in Xcode 3.2.
